IT Business Analyst – Interbank Messaging (80-100%)

The company is seeking a mid-level IT Business Analyst for interbank messaging in Geneva. The position requires strong French and English skills and involves bridging business and technical teams for SWIFT integrations.

This role is situated within the Technology & Operations department, supporting the ongoing development of back-office capabilities. It focuses on the functional areas of interbank messaging, reconciliation procedures, and client communications. The position allows for specialized growth in SWIFT package integration, operating at the junction of business analysis and technical execution.

Responsibilities

• Gather, evaluate, and document business needs for SWIFT messaging, reconciliation, and client alerts.
• Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT departments to guarantee mutual comprehension of objectives and limitations.
• Assist in designing, building, and updating SWIFT solutions, including FIN and MT/MX interfaces.
• Take part in integrating SWIFT packages, covering setup, verification, and rollout.
• Draft functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria by converting business demands into technical tasks alongside Product Owners and technical staff.
• Guarantee the integrity of messaging flows from start to finish, accounting for reconciliation and downstream effects.
• Aid in resolving incidents and performing root cause analysis.
• Lead ongoing enhancements to systems, data accuracy, and operational procedures.
• Keep documentation current and facilitate knowledge exchange.
• Track changes in SWIFT standards and market practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is considered an asset.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Technical BA, or SWIFT Integrator in payments, securities, or interbank messaging contexts.
• Solid understanding of SWIFT standards (MT/MX), reconciliation processes, and messaging flows.
• Strong grasp of data flows, system integration concepts (SQL, APIs, messaging, data models), and software development tools (Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow).
• Fluency in French and English.
• Current residence in Switzerland or readiness to relocate.
