Lombard Odier IM seeks a Payment Specialist for its Geneva operations team. This 12-month contract role involves processing incoming and outgoing payments, managing reconciliations, and supporting IT projects within the Technology & Operations unit.
This position sits within the Payment Transactions team of the Operations department, part of the broader Technology & Operations unit. The team of nine professionals handles the control and execution of transfer orders, ensuring smooth financial workflows for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Execute account closures in a timely manner to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Review and process various incoming payment types to optimize cash flow management.
- Handle outgoing payments, including customer transfers, bank-to-bank movements, standing orders, QR payments, and file processing (DTA/CSV/SAP).
- Oversee bank mailboxes, addressing inquiries and requests from internal stakeholders.
- Calculate and process management fees in strict accordance with established guidelines.
- Coordinate with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners regarding changes in correspondent relationships.
- Investigate and resolve pending reconciliations for outgoing payments, incoming funds, and correspondent fees.
- Collaborate on IT initiatives to improve operational systems and achieve project goals.
Requirements
- A professional maturity certificate from a business school or a CFC qualification.
- Three to five years of experience in banking operations, with a specific focus on payment processing.
- Solid understanding of SWIFT message standards.
- Fluency in French and English at a B2 level or higher.
- Current residence in Switzerland or a clear willingness to relocate.
