Baer AG seeks a Payments Investigations Specialist in Zürich to handle payment inquiries, reconcile cash positions, and manage sanction hits while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The company is looking for a professional to manage the daily operations of the payments function, ensuring smooth workflows, high-quality results, and adherence to agreed standards and risk management protocols. This role also involves contributing to the development of new products and standards, implementing them within the team, and driving service and process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Handle payment investigations by communicating with internal teams, compliance departments, international branches, and correspondent banks through phone, email, and SWIFT.
- Record and resolve cases in the internal case management system while strictly following regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze and process open cash positions to ensure accurate reconciliation.
- Prepare and execute internal reversals as needed.
- Perform first-level filtering for real-time sanction hits, identifying false positives and escalating full or close matches to second-level Compliance.
Requirements
- Demonstrate deep expertise in SWIFT, SEPA, and SIC payments processing, including ISO20022 message formats.
- Possess fluent proficiency in both English and German.
