IT Business Analyst – Interbank Messaging (80-100%)

Lombard Odier IM seeks an IT Business Analyst to manage interbank messaging, reconciliation, and client notification systems within its Technology & Operations department in Geneva.

This position sits at the crossroads of business analysis and technical execution, supporting the ongoing enhancement of back-office operations. The role focuses on a functional scope that encompasses interbank messaging, reconciliation workflows, and client notifications, ensuring seamless alignment between business needs and IT delivery.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for interbank messaging (SWIFT), reconciliation, and client notifications.
• Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure a mutual understanding of requirements and constraints.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and evolving SWIFT-based solutions, including FIN, MT/MX formats, and related interfaces.
• Take part in the integration of SWIFT packages, covering configuration, testing, and deployment phases.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Owners and technical teams.
• Ensure end-to-end consistency of messaging flows, including reconciliation and downstream impacts.
• Support incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems, data quality, and processes.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Monitor SWIFT standards evolution and market practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience as a Business Analyst / Technical BA / SWIFT Integrator in payments, securities, or interbank messaging environments.
• Good knowledge of SWIFT standards (MT/MX), reconciliation, and messaging flows.
• Solid understanding of data flows, system integration concepts (SQL, APIs, messaging, data models) and software development tools.
• Strong communication skills in French & English.
• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate.
