Business Application Support Specialist – Finance (80-100%)

Lombard Odier seeks a Business Application Support Specialist for its Finance division in Geneva. The role focuses on maintaining banking application stability and providing functional support to internal teams and clients.

This position is dedicated to ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of critical banking applications within the Finance domain. The specialist acts as a key support point for employees and customers, aiming to build trust and satisfaction through responsive and high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve functional issues related to finance and accounting software.
• Conduct quality checks and prepare documentation for new application releases.
• Track key performance indicators to guarantee service level agreements are met.
• Report significant incidents to the incident management team for rapid resolution.
• Coordinate with bank partners on escalated cases and manage the ticket backlog.
• Perform balance sheet analysis using SAP systems.
• Deliver training sessions to ensure bank users are proficient with tools.
• Test new application releases to verify functionality.
• Collaborate closely with development and production teams.
• Maintain regular communication with the Finance team partners.
• Propose improvements to daily processes to the Application Support head.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Information Technology or Finance.
• Over five years of professional experience in the banking sector.
• Strong communication skills, proactivity, and the ability to handle stress and unplanned tasks.
• Deep understanding of banking operations, finance concepts, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Current residence in Switzerland or a clear willingness to relocate there.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst or Auditor within the financial industry.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
