IT Operations Manager - Full Stack Developer Azure & AI

Sobi seeks a Mid-level IT Operations Manager & Full Stack Developer to build Azure AI solutions and manage digital workplace infrastructure in Basel.

The IT department at Sobi oversees the architecture, strategy, and maintenance of information systems and infrastructure. Within this structure, the Digital Workplace & AI function drives secure, compliant, and scalable digital solutions. This role focuses on advancing the Microsoft 365 platform and enterprise AI capabilities to support the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain enterprise-level AI applications using Azure OpenAI, featuring chat interfaces, document processing pipelines (RAG), and real-time collaboration tools.
• Architect and deploy Azure cloud solutions utilizing services such as Cosmos DB, Cognitive Search, Blob Storage, Document Intelligence, and AI Search.
• Develop and refine full-stack applications with Next.js 14, React 18, and TypeScript, applying modern frontend and backend patterns like App Router and Server Components.
• Enhance AI and LLM integrations by managing prompts, tokens, streaming completions, and orchestrating multi-model AI systems.
• Maintain code quality, security, and compliance via code reviews, testing, documentation, and adherence to the GxP quality framework.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow to address bug reports and resolve technical issues proactively.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Azure technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of features from initial concept through deployment.
• Practical experience with Azure cloud services including Cosmos DB, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, and Blob Storage.
• Background in building and maintaining full-stack applications within production environments.
• Experience with AI, LLMs, and agents.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries.
