This position is for an ambitious, commercially focused wheat trader joining Bunge’s international trading team. The role involves active participation in wheat markets across the EU and Black Sea regions, balancing supply and demand, managing price volatility, and contributing to trading performance. It offers direct exposure to profit and loss, with collaboration across trading, logistics, and risk teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute wheat trading strategies in global markets
- Spot arbitrage opportunities and turn them into profitable trades
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, and trading partners
- Assess market conditions including supply, demand, flows, pricing, and risks
- Manage trading positions and support hedging strategies using futures and cash markets
- Coordinate shipment logistics closely with the logistics team
- Track market developments and share relevant insights with the team
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in commodity trading, ideally in wheat
- Solid grasp of agricultural markets and core trading principles
- Strong commercial sense and ability to make confident decisions
- Excellent analytical abilities and focus on detail
- Fluent in English
Nice to have
- Experience with risk management and hedging tools
- Knowledge of EU and Black Sea trading routes and logistics
- Additional language skills
