Engelhart Commodities seeks a Senior Business Manager in Geneva to oversee daily operations and strategic growth for European financial and physical commodities trading.
This position serves as a central link between trading desks and support teams, ensuring smooth coordination of initiatives and robust governance. The role involves tackling complex operational challenges, driving business planning, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership while fostering collaboration across all levels of the international organization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between trading desks and support functions to guarantee alignment and efficient project delivery.
- Maintain and enhance process robustness, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
- Leverage deep knowledge of existing systems to spot inefficiencies and execute necessary improvements.
- Manage the coordination of business controls and approval workflows to ensure timely results.
- Oversee business planning, track performance metrics, and conduct cost analyses to offer actionable insights to executives.
- Lead the resolution of intricate operational issues spanning different desks, regions, and departments.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree or equivalent academic qualification.
- Possess 7–10 years of experience in commodities or energy trading, including a minimum of 5 years specifically in business management roles.
- Demonstrate solid practical knowledge of European power and gas markets.
- Have proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with front-office and support teams, including interaction with senior stakeholders.
- Show strong communication skills, particularly in creating clear presentations using PowerPoint.
- Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including the use of Copilot.
- Fluency in English is required.
