Kubernetes Engineer

IBV Informatik AG seeks a Mid-level Kubernetes Engineer in Zürich for hybrid work. The role focuses on supporting real-time collaboration projects, managing containerized platforms, and providing technical support.

The company is looking for a specialist to join its European team, which develops real-time collaboration solutions for international clients across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. In this position, you will guide the deployment of containerized components and reusable libraries, ensuring smooth integration and operation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and professional second-level technical support for system issues.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters using infrastructure as code methodologies.
• Assist project teams with technical needs as they arise.
• Enhance platform performance, automation, quality, monitoring, and reliability.
• Implement solutions for scaling, performance optimization, service failover, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or possess equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrate solid proficiency with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Podman.
• Exhibit strong diagnostic abilities for container ecosystems and infrastructure elements including networking, security, and storage.
• Have hands-on experience creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks, Helm charts, and Terraform configurations for infrastructure and container deployment.
• Be familiar with major cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Understand principles of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment.
• Possess experience working with monitoring and logging systems.
• Communicate effectively in both German and English.
