UniDistance Suisse seeks a senior lecturer for the M06 Advanced Deep Learning module (18% FTE). The role involves teaching, content development, and student support within a fully online Master of Science in AI programme.
This position aims to strengthen the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence programme within the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. The university integrates flexible, location-independent distance learning with an active, interdisciplinary research culture, providing a unique academic environment for this teaching role.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the M06 Advanced Deep Learning module.
- Create and adapt course materials for effective online instruction.
- Upload and manage learning resources on the university's teaching platform.
- Guide students throughout the semester, working alongside a teaching assistant.
- Conduct online lectures and exercise sessions in collaboration with the teaching assistant.
- Continuously refine module content and enhance the overall student learning experience.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in university-level teaching.
- A PhD in Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Active involvement in research focused on deep learning and contemporary AI methodologies.
- Fluency in English, as it is the primary language of instruction.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in distance education or online teaching.
- Proficiency in German and/or French.
