Senior AI Machine Learning Engineer

Nexthink seeks a Senior AI Machine Learning Engineer in Lausanne to design and deploy scalable AI solutions, including Agentic systems, enhancing digital employee experiences for its global customer base.

As a key member of the AI team at Nexthink, this position focuses on building and launching scalable artificial intelligence products. The role aims to improve digital employee experiences by leveraging advanced AI technologies and ensuring seamless integration with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build AI-driven products, prioritizing Agentic systems.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and success metrics utilizing modern AI platforms.
• Oversee MLOps workflows to ensure efficient model deployment, monitoring, and upkeep in live environments.
• Collaborate with software developers, data scientists, and product managers to align AI initiatives with business goals.
• Mentor junior AI engineers and promote a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years of practical experience developing production applications powered by Large Language Models.
• High proficiency in Python and AI frameworks such as LangChain and PyTorch.
• Demonstrated expertise in AWS and cloud-based AI deployments.
• Deep understanding of AI model fine-tuning, optimization, and evaluation techniques.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced, collaborative settings.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent AI architectures.
• Strong data intuition: ability to inspect raw logs, design metrics and quickly identify quality regressions
• Hands-on experience with MLOps: reproducible pipelines, automated evaluations, feature stores, CI/CD for models or prompt/embedding configs
• Familiarity with MLOps best practices for deploying and monitoring AI models in production.
