Responsibilities
- Foster a trusting and supportive family atmosphere within the residential facility.
- Monitor and promote the physical, mental, and emotional health of the students.
- Oversee daily routines and maintain a peaceful environment during study periods.
- Plan, coordinate, and join evening and weekend recreational activities.
- Enforce school conduct rules and manage student discipline consistently.
- Collaborate with the Head of Boarding and Houseparent to encourage student involvement in clubs and trips.
- Handle administrative tasks and arrange airport transfers for students.
- Track student behavior and academic progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Communicate clearly with the Health Department and senior management regarding student health matters.
- Provide classroom cover one day per week during school hours to support school operations.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a proactive, dynamic, and collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Exhibit flexibility, sound judgment, and an approachable demeanor.
- Possess strong communication skills, especially when interacting with teenagers.
- Have prior experience in a comparable residential or supervisory role.
- Hold a valid Swiss driving license (category B) and feel comfortable driving a 9-seat minibus.
- Be a citizen of Switzerland or a European country, or hold a valid Swiss residence permit.
- Fluency in English is required; French proficiency is beneficial.
- Show a strong interest in sports, outdoor activities, and travel.
- Maintain a firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
