This position supports the 2026 summer season at a holiday course centre in Engelberg. The Assistant Camp Manager will oversee operations for a group of 80 to 100 students, ensuring smooth daily functioning and high-quality educational experiences.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of instructors and activity coordinators
- Monitor and ensure the quality of educational services delivered by the teaching staff
- Oversee the daily operations of a course centre accommodating 80 to 100 students
- Plan and coordinate sports and cultural events for participants
- Serve as the primary liaison with the main ALPADIA office, handling reports and communication
Requirements
- Hold a camp director certificate, a degree in hotel management or business studies, or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrate proven ability to lead and manage teams of educators and activity staff
- Possess prior professional experience working in summer camps or comparable youth programs
- Achieve C2 proficiency in both German and English
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, a high sense of responsibility, and the capacity to work independently
- Maintain composure and effectiveness in high-pressure, multitasking environments
Nice to have
- Previous experience or formal qualifications in teaching
- Proficiency in French
- Familiarity with the Engelberg region
- Valid driver's license
