KPMG AG in Zürich seeks a Manager or Senior Manager to lead finance transformation projects, focusing on record-to-report, fast close, and group reporting for multinational clients.
This position allows the successful candidate to lead teams in helping multinational clients modernize their financial close and reporting processes. As a team leader, the individual will take ownership of client relationships and project delivery from the start, contributing to KPMG’s finance transformation offerings by implementing technology-enabled solutions for consolidation and accounting workflows.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading go-to-market strategies to drive growth.
- Advise clients on designing, standardizing, and optimizing record-to-report and financial close processes, including governance and controls.
- Lead project teams in creating end-to-end workflows for accounting, group reporting, consolidation, and close activities.
- Manage experienced teams to implement finance transformation and close acceleration solutions.
- Consult clients on target operating models for finance, defining roles, responsibilities, and process ownership.
- Collaborate with key technology providers in ERP, EPM, and fast close solutions.
- Facilitate client discussions regarding fast close, accounting efficiency, close quality, and enabling technologies.
- Coach and develop team members to achieve excellence in record-to-report and close processes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, or business informatics, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 7 years of experience in finance consulting, audit, or advisory, with a strong focus on record-to-report, financial close, or group reporting.
- Deep understanding of accounting, consolidation, and close processes within multinational environments.
- Proven track record in leading finance transformation initiatives and process optimization.
- Strong interest in finance systems, automation, and technology-enabled close acceleration.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in senior client discussions.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- CPA or equivalent certification is considered a strong plus.
- Tech-savvy candidates with experience using ERP, consolidation, or close management tools have a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in German and/or French is a strong plus.
