Mechanical Engineer (80–100%)

GRZ Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Avenches to lead the design and construction of pressure vessels and hydrogen systems, ensuring quality compliance and supplier coordination.

This position provides a varied workload with significant personal accountability. The engineer takes full ownership of designing and building specific systems and components, playing a central role in the company's technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs and constructions for chosen systems and parts using SolidWorks.
• Conduct necessary engineering calculations, including the sizing of pressure vessels.
• Assist workshop preparation (AVOR) by managing ERP data, creating bills of materials, and drafting work instructions.
• Coordinate with third-party notified bodies to prepare for and attend design examinations and reception checks for pressurized vessels.
• Manage quality documentation for complete systems, such as pressure vessels.
• Communicate, coordinate, and negotiate terms with suppliers.

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc or MSc) or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional experience, preferably focusing on pressure vessels, hydrogen systems, or a related area.
• Familiarity with quality and certification processes, especially those involving pressure vessels.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and quality assurance systems.
• Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English.
