National experts on secondment (SNEs)

The European Banking Authority seeks senior National Experts on Secondment to contribute specialized knowledge to EU financial supervision while fostering cross-border professional exchange.

Seconded National Experts (SNEs) are assigned by their home administrations to the EBA to strengthen the shared supervisory culture within the European Union. This position allows professionals to apply their expertise at the EBA while gaining valuable insights into European affairs and expanding their professional network for future use in their home countries.

Responsibilities

• Contribute specialized knowledge and professional experience in areas relevant to the EBA's mandate.
• Participate in the exchange of best practices and supervisory techniques across the EU.

Requirements

• Hold citizenship of an EU Member State, an EFTA country, or a nation currently in accession negotiations with the EU.
• Demonstrate a minimum B2 level of proficiency in English as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
• Be an independent professional working in administrative, legal, advisory, or supervisory roles related to the EBA's activities, OR be an academic from a non-profit university or research institution, OR be a PhD candidate conducting research relevant to the EBA's field.
