The European Banking Authority invites public sector professionals from EU or EFTA states to join the Seconded National Experts programme, fostering knowledge exchange and supervisory alignment.

This position allows public sector professionals from EU or EFTA member states to be seconded to the EBA. The programme aims to strengthen the exchange of professional practices, build a unified supervisory culture across the European Union, and enhance transparency in financial oversight. Participants contribute their specialized knowledge to the Authority while gaining valuable insights into European affairs and expanding their professional networks for their home administrations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply specialized expertise in areas relevant to the EBA's mandate.
  • Leverage prior professional experience in administrative, legal, advisory, or supervisory capacities.
  • Develop and execute research projects or ideas pertinent to the EBA's field of work, particularly for PhD candidates.

Requirements

  • Hold citizenship of an EU Member State, an EFTA country, or a nation currently in accession negotiations with the EU.
  • Be an independent professional working in a field relevant to the EBA, an academic affiliated with a non-profit university or research institution, or a PhD candidate.
  • Demonstrate a strong command of English, meeting at least the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
