Network Engineer

CodeWay Group SA is seeking a Mid-level Network Engineer for an on-site role in Chiasso, CH. The position requires expertise in Cisco and Juniper routing, switching, and troubleshooting, along with strong knowledge of IP networks, firewalls, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain routing and switching infrastructure using Cisco and Juniper platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Oversee IP network technologies, protocols, and utilize management and monitoring tools.
• Implement and maintain firewall solutions, including Fortinet, ASA, and Checkpoint, alongside VPN configurations.
• Support load balancing architectures, with a preference for F5 systems.
• Assist in Data Center management tasks where applicable.

Requirements

• Proven ability to work with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities for network environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of core IP network technologies, protocols, and associated management/monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with major firewall platforms such as Fortinet, ASA, and Checkpoint, as well as VPN technologies.
• Understanding of load balancing architectures, particularly F5.
• Experience managing Data Center environments is preferred.
• Holding a CCNA and/or CCNP certification is advantageous.
• Proficient command of the English language.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Data Center management.
• Possession of CCNA and/or CCNP certifications.
• Knowledge of load balancing architectures, especially F5.
