Partner Forward Deployed Engineer, Google Cloud (French, German)

Google seeks a Partner Forward Deployed Engineer in Zürich to build and deploy custom AI solutions for clients, requiring fluency in French or German and strong Python skills.

This position acts as a technical bridge between Google’s advanced AI offerings and real-world customer operations. The engineer works directly within client environments to design, code, and launch bespoke agentic systems, ensuring they are production-ready while providing critical feedback to shape future product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex AI applications, moving prototypes into stable, production-grade agentic workflows.
• Design and implement the integration layer connecting Google’s AI tools with the customer’s existing infrastructure.
• Create evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to guarantee system accuracy, safety, and low latency.
• Analyze field data to identify recurring issues or patterns, translating them into reusable modules or formal feature requests.
• Collaborate with pre-sales and product groups to establish high-standard development practices within client teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least five years of professional software development experience, primarily using Python.
• Proven track record of building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data, utilizing vector databases and RAG-like architectures.
• Experience launching AI-driven solutions from initial concept to production on cloud platforms.
• Ability to lead technical discovery discussions with clients.
• Fluent proficiency in either French or German.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or a closely related technical area.
• Hands-on experience with multi-agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or ADK.
• Background in post-sales technical consulting or delivery roles.
• Knowledge of LLM-native metrics, state management optimization, and granular tracing techniques.
• Demonstrated success in scaling Agentic AI implementations for technical teams.
