AI Engineer / Consultant

Artifactsa, based in Zürich Oerlikon, seeks a mid-level AI Engineer / Consultant to develop and deliver practical AI solutions for clients in German- and French-speaking Switzerland. The role requires expertise in (Gen)AI, Data Science, and Python, with a focus on real-world impact and agile teamwork.

The company, founded by three experienced AI professionals, is expanding and seeks a Swiss-based AI Engineer / Consultant to help deliver innovative solutions to clients across Switzerland’s German- and French-speaking regions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy practical AI solutions using modern technologies, customized to client needs and business goals
• Apply AI techniques and client data to solve real business challenges and create measurable impact
• Collaborate in agile, high-performing teams across all project stages — from proposal input to solution deployment and business development support
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams
• Support Artifactsa’s growth by creating technical assets and driving initiatives that contribute to company success

Requirements

• Proven experience in (Gen)AI and Data Science, with a solid grasp of Machine Learning, including Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision
• Strong proficiency in Python, along with hands-on experience in Git, SQL, DevOps, and MLOps practices
• Familiarity with data science libraries and tools such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Spark
• Initial experience in designing and scaling (Gen)AI solutions in production environments on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including Docker, APIs, backend/frontend development, and microservices
• Excellent communication skills in English and either German or French
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland and possession of a valid Swiss work permit
• Intent to start employment at Artifactsa within three months of application

Nice to have

• Enjoyment of client interaction and relationship-building
• Prior experience in consulting roles
• Experience with frontend development, such as React
• Background as a full-stack engineer
