Novelis Switzerland SA seeks a Senior Plant HR Manager in Sierre to lead site-level HR strategy, ensure compliance, and drive organizational health in a manufacturing environment.

This position serves as the primary HR partner for the Sierre site, translating global people strategies into actionable local roadmaps. The incumbent acts as a trusted advisor to the Site Leadership Team, ensuring that human resources initiatives directly support business performance, operational excellence, and workforce readiness while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a site-specific HR roadmap that aligns with global corporate strategy.
  • Enhance organizational health, leadership effectiveness, and overall performance metrics.
  • Spearhead change management, transformation projects, and cultural improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the HR budget and implement measures to increase process efficiency.
  • Act as the site’s representative in global HR programs and initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations, including investigations, grievances, and dispute resolution, while ensuring strict adherence to labor laws.
  • Maintain productive relationships with employee representatives and social partners.
  • Represent the HR function during internal and external audits.
  • Foster a culture of ethics, integrity, and open communication (speak-up culture).
  • Enforce company policies, internal controls, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct workforce planning to meet both current operational demands and future needs.
  • Lead the recruitment process for critical and hard-to-fill roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Labor Relations, Psychology, HR Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR leadership experience within multinational settings.
  • Proven track record of leading HR operations at the site level in manufacturing.
  • Experience working within matrix structures or multi-site organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities and solid business acumen.
  • Deep expertise in labor relations and industrial relations.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, lead change, and drive organizational transformation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, cultural awareness, and interpersonal impact.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
