Bristol Myers Squibb Celgene seeks a Director of HR Business Partner for its Boudry, Switzerland campus to lead people strategy in a regulated manufacturing environment.
This position acts as the senior People leader and strategic advisor for the Boudry site. The role partners with Manufacturing, Quality, and Technical Operations to shape and execute local people strategies within a highly regulated, matrixed structure.
Responsibilities
- Provide visible leadership and serve as the primary People contact for site executives, managers, and staff.
- Own the execution of local people strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, regulatory standards, and site priorities.
- Represent HR in site leadership forums, employee councils, and governance bodies.
- Act as a strategic partner to Product Development & Supply Manufacturing and Operations leaders.
- Advise leaders on workforce implications related to compliance, capacity, and operational changes.
- Translate global People strategies into actionable local plans that respect Swiss labor laws and site culture.
- Lead core HR processes such as performance management, talent planning, succession, engagement, rewards, and development.
- Use data, analytics, and diagnostics to assess organizational health, talent pipelines, engagement, and workforce risks.
- Steward company culture by reinforcing BMS values, leadership expectations, and inclusive behaviors.
- Manage complex employee relations issues in collaboration with Employee Relations and Legal teams.
- Design engagement, change, and communication strategies to build trust and organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with global HRBPs and Centers of Excellence to support co-located regional and global teams.
- Provide executive coaching to senior leaders to improve decision-making and team performance.
- Share insights and best practices from the Boudry campus to inform enterprise People strategies.
- Represent the site internally and externally on people-related topics, including regulatory interactions and employer branding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 15 years of Human Resources business experience.
- Proven leadership effectiveness in followership, innovation, project management, and executive coaching.
- Expertise in talent management, including acquisition, performance, engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive business and talent decisions.
- Strong behavioral skills in curiosity, learning agility, and growth mindset.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and its human elements.
- Strategic business acumen with the ability to influence business strategy through people initiatives.
- Extensive experience in business partnering, organizational design, change management, and consulting.
- Success in working at senior management levels to impact decision-making.
- Experience leading engagement and change management efforts, including defining communication plans.
- Knowledge of workforce planning, engagement strategies, and succession management.
- Awareness of external trends influencing human behavior and decision-making at individual, group, and organizational levels.
