Power Plant Chemist (m/f/d)

PPCHEM AG seeks a Junior Power Plant Chemist in Hinwil, CH, to support water treatment and cooling circuit projects with expert guidance and international exposure.

The company is looking for a junior specialist to assist with projects focused on water treatment plant chemistry, water-steam cycles, and cooling circuits. During the initial training period, the candidate will receive dedicated mentorship from seasoned professionals, with the goal of gradually assuming more responsibility in client engagements and project work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects involving water treatment plant chemistry, water-steam cycles, and cooling circuits.
• Acquire hands-on experience in international assignments while broadening technical expertise.
• Work alongside a highly specialized team with global connections.

• Travel abroad to visit clients and project sites.

Requirements

• Strong interest in power plant and water chemistry.
• Foundational knowledge of chemical water analysis, especially trace analysis.
• Basic understanding of corrosion principles.
• Familiarity with water treatment methods such as flocculation, precipitation, ion exchange, and membrane processes.
• Understanding of process engineering or related foundational concepts.
• Readiness to travel and enthusiasm for international project work.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• German language proficiency or willingness to learn.
