Principal Biostatistician

CSL Behring Vifor seeks a Principal Biostatistician in EMEA (CH) to lead statistical strategies for preclinical and translational research, supporting global therapeutic area goals and regulatory submissions.

This position delivers advanced biostatistical expertise to guide research activities in alignment with the company's therapeutic area strategies. The role is central to executing these strategies, ensuring the successful delivery of impactful preclinical and translational science packages that support product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement biostatistical strategies that align with global therapeutic area and platform priorities.
• Manage statistical design and analysis processes in experiments to meet product development objectives.
• Offer statistical guidance for experimental designs, data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of research studies.
• Provide statistical advice for interactions with regulatory agencies regarding pre-clinical R&D topics.
• Contribute statistical inputs for regulatory filings, on-market support, and scientific publications.
• Collaborate with data analysis and computational experts to ensure statistical methods remain current and compliant.
• Provide scientific input across R&D programs, including drug discovery and biomarker development.
• Execute biostatistical pipelines to facilitate early decision-making and improve efficiency.
• Prepare scientific reports, regulatory documents, and peer-reviewed publications.
• Build and maintain collaborations with academic institutions, biotech companies, and CROs.
• Support patent filings and legal contract negotiations.

Requirements

• Postgraduate degree, preferably a PhD, in Statistics, Biostatistics, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D.
• Proven experience working with scientific teams in a global, cross-functional environment.
