Process Engineer

Buhlergroup seeks a Junior Process Engineer in Makati City to support technology and sales teams with machine specifications, commissioning, and project management.

This position assists the Technology Department by generating accurate concept diagrams and machine specifications that align with Buhler standards. The engineer also delivers technical backing to sales, quotation, and customer service units while developing solutions for new customer opportunities and ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct commissioning and mill surveys for simple plants and individual machines.
• Provide commissioning assistance for both standard and complex plant setups.
• Collaborate with the technology team to share expertise and create diagrams for straightforward projects.
• Develop concept flow diagrams for simple projects and single machines in compliance with Buhler standards.
• Execute software program tests prior to commissioning activities.
• Evaluate mechanical and electrical installations, resolve issues during setup, and verify IO tests before dry runs.
• Lead commissioning efforts, managing the project timeline and maintaining regular communication with customers, project managers, and team leaders.
• Start up plants or equipment with product, adjusting processes to meet contractual performance standards.
• Document commissioning and survey data accurately, ensuring all relevant information is captured in the Buhler system.
• Log project deviations, technical challenges, and product improvements in the Bühler CAQ system.

Requirements

• Hold an engineering degree or a related field qualification.
• Possess at least one year of experience in a commercial mill or demonstrate equivalent skills.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities and effective teamwork.
• Showcase excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Be able to function effectively within a matrix organization structure.
• Have good written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• A miller apprenticeship is preferred.
