Process Engineer (Quotation & Project Execution)

Bühler Technologies seeks a Process Engineer in Uzwil to bridge sales and project execution, developing grain processing solutions and ensuring technical excellence for customer projects.

This position serves as a critical connection point between Sales, Quotation, Project Execution, R&D, and international hubs. The engineer helps deliver innovative solutions that generate lasting value for customers by transforming requirements into technically sound concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and calculate process solutions, from single machines to full plant concepts, during sales and quotation stages.
• Develop process flow diagrams, design bases, and technical specifications while applying quality principles.
• Support customer projects throughout the quotation phase and actively participate in all project execution stages.
• Ensure technical quality, align stakeholders, meet deadlines, and maintain cost transparency.
• Convert customer needs into value-driven process concepts that are technically robust.
• Provide expert guidance to Sales, Quotation, and Project Execution teams.
• Take responsibility for a specific market segment within the Business Area Human Nutrition.
• Manage technical risks, deviations, and change requests, while supporting commissioning, trials, and product development.
• Improve workflows and maintain high standards for documentation and data.
• Encourage cross-functional teamwork and feed product performance data back into internal knowledge bases.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Food/Process Technology, Process Engineering, or a similar qualification with a focus on grain processing.
• Hands-on experience in grain processing, including process design, technology, calculations, or commissioning.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• A structured, pragmatic, and results-oriented working style.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Fluent command of both German and English.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of CAD software.
• Additional language skills such as Spanish, French, or Italian.
