Process Improvement Specialist (80-100%)

FIDES Business Partner AG seeks a Process Improvement Specialist in Zürich to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence through Lean and Kaizen methodologies.

This position is dedicated to fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement within the organization. The specialist will focus on spotting inefficiencies, refining workflows, and empowering teams to operate more effectively using Kaizen principles. The primary objective is to boost efficiency, transparency, and quality across both IT and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Champion a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Organize, lead, and moderate Brown Paper workshops and process mapping sessions.
• Examine end-to-end workflows to pinpoint bottlenecks, waste, and areas for optimization.
• Implement Lean techniques such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and waste reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with IT, business units, and management to define and execute improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the implementation and long-term sustainability of process changes.
• Monitor and measure the success of improvements using KPIs, efficiency metrics, and quality indicators.
• Coach and train teams on Kaizen and Lean principles to enable better performance.
• Identify opportunities for automation in partnership with IT teams.
• Create transparency regarding processes, improvements, and progress through dashboards and Confluence.
• Support strategic initiatives aimed at achieving operational excellence.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment and collaboration among various departments.

Requirements

• A degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement, Kaizen, or Lean management.
• Practical experience conducting Brown Paper workshops and process mapping.
• Solid understanding of IT processes, systems, and operational workflows.
• Proficiency with tools like Confluence, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Lean principles, including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• An analytical and structured approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to identify waste and inefficiencies in complex environments.
• Experience in defining and tracking KPIs.
• Strong facilitation and workshop moderation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
