The company is seeking a Process Technician for Integrated Photonics at its EPFL Innovation Park location. The role focuses on ultra-low loss Photonic Integrated Circuits for Quantum, LiDAR, and Space technologies, bridging prototyping and small-scale fabrication.
This position is based at the EPFL Innovation Park and focuses on developing ultra-low loss Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for applications in Quantum, LiDAR, and Space technologies. The role serves as a critical link between prototyping and small-scale fabrication, requiring the execution of end-to-end process flows across lithography, etching, and thin-film technical areas.
Responsibilities
- Manage complete process flows covering lithography, etching, and thin-film techniques.
- Guarantee the quality and scalability of advanced technology by carefully collecting data and applying Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Gather test results and prepare detailed quality reports.
- Operate, maintain, and adhere to safety protocols for equipment in a controlled setting.
Requirements
- Hold a completed technical education, such as Physics Laboratory Technician, or possess equivalent industrial experience.
- Have at least 5 years of practical experience in wafer processing environments, including Semiconductor, MEMS, Solar, or Photonics sectors.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating, maintaining, and following safety protocols for tools in controlled environments.
- Possess working proficiency in English.
