Senior Business Developer Silicon Photonics

Ligentec seeks a Senior Business Developer for Silicon Photonics in Ecublens, CH. The role focuses on transitioning SOI technology into products, driving sales, and accelerating market adoption.

This position is designed to bridge the gap between advanced research and commercial success. Responsibilities

• Proactively connect with and engage key strategic clients in sectors such as Telecom, Datacom, and Sensing.
• Oversee the complete sales process, starting from first contact and technical dialogue through to final contract agreement.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients.
• Create and present persuasive technical proposals that highlight the benefits of the company's solutions.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve established targets.
• Monitor market shifts, competitor activities, and emerging application fields.
• Enhance the company's visibility and reputation within the global photonics community.
• Attend industry events and conferences to foster strategic partnerships.
• Work closely with R&D staff to align customer requirements with product development.
• Share market insights to influence strategic planning and product roadmaps.
• Explore potential funding sources that align with the company's strategic goals.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience with integrated photonics to communicate effectively with technical clients.
• Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or technical account management, ideally in high-tech or B2B settings.
• Fluent proficiency in English.
