Project Engineer - Electrical / Power Systems

Michael Page seeks a Project Engineer for electrical and power systems in Zürich. This hybrid role supports utility clients with software implementation, project management, and technical troubleshooting.

This position plays a key role in helping energy providers monitor, manage, and optimize their critical infrastructure, thereby supporting the broader transformation of the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Assist utility customers during the rollout of software and infrastructure initiatives.
• Partner with sales teams to offer technical guidance during client meetings and proposal development.
• Oversee project execution to guarantee that scope, quality standards, deadlines, and client expectations are satisfied.
• Coordinate activities related to data integration and system configuration.
• Resolve technical and operational challenges faced by customers.
• Provide training, coaching, and ongoing technical support to end users.
• Work with engineering and product groups to enhance solutions and internal processes.
• Help deploy new technologies that support modern electricity networks.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Early-career professional experience in engineering, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or industrial settings.
• Strong analytical abilities and a problem-solving approach.
• A genuine interest in technology, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Confidence in interacting with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
• Fluent proficiency in both English and German.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with power systems, utilities, software implementation, or data-related projects is considered an advantage.
