IQVIA AG seeks a Senior Project Services Manager in Switzerland to lead client delivery teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence in clinical research.

The company is looking for a senior professional to provide daily leadership to the Client Delivery Team, ensuring that project goals and client expectations are met. This role involves managing staff, overseeing project execution, and stepping in as a Project Manager when necessary to support short- or long-term assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and staff activities, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and relevant regulations.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work while mentoring employees and managing their performance and professional growth.
  • Evaluate talent within project management to maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Promote a customer-centric culture by quickly identifying issues and communicating resolutions to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all studies follow FDA, ICH, and EMEA guidelines, including strict adherence to Good Clinical Practices.
  • Report productivity and quality metrics to the Associate Director.
  • Lead Six Sigma or similar business process initiatives to ensure timely completion according to project charters.
  • Engage in activities that boost employee engagement, operational results, and retention.
  • Represent the company in external customer meetings with sales teams and participate in bid defense sessions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Project Services, internal departments, vendors, and sponsors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages information sharing and cooperation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships for assigned studies, serving as the main point of contact between sponsors and project teams.
  • Lead communications to enhance Client Delivery Team performance and strengthen governance structures.
  • Conduct customer health check calls with staff as needed.
  • Represent the firm at investigator and monitor meetings, as well as interactions with regulatory authorities.
  • Participate in internal and external audits or inspections when required.
  • Administer study training to sites, CRAs, and sponsors, and maintain regular communication to manage expectations.
  • Report on team performance against contract baselines and client expectations to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in clinical trials, hospital-funded research, project management, or laboratory settings.
  • Proven experience in line management or cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and client management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Deep understanding of Project Services processes, laboratory operations, or central laboratory workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company systems, or experience with similar centralized laboratory platforms.
  • Track record of successfully leading large, global, and complex Phase I-IV clinical trials.
