Senior Project Manager, Basel

IESF Group International GmbH in Basel seeks a Senior Project Manager for a full-time, onsite role. The position requires 10+ years of experience in facility or process design within the pharmaceutical industry, strong leadership, and fluency in French with good English skills.

This role focuses on guiding client relationships during project conceptualization using technical insight and client understanding, while also supporting the structural development of the company’s young affiliate organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships during the early project stages by combining technical knowledge with a deep understanding of client needs.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution to project teams to ensure project goals are met.
• Manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects from proposal to final handover.
• Ensure engineering procedures, methods, and technical solutions are properly applied throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate or supervise daily project team activities, including contractors and suppliers.
• Oversee planning and execution of key project factors: scope, timeline, budget, and quality.
• Participate in the development of internal standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience in facility or process design and construction projects within a pharmaceutical company’s technical team, supplier firm, or engineering/consulting organization.
• Proven leadership experience and solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including GMP regulations.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing direct relationships with international clients and willingness to travel.
• Fluent in French and proficient in English.
• Structured, organized, and adaptable work style with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Strong customer insight and leadership ability in client-facing interactions.
• High personal motivation and passion for the work.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to inspire teams and deliver constructive feedback.
