R&D Project Leader

Clariant seeks a Senior R&D Project Leader at the Campus Eiffel-Massy to drive the Functional ingredients pipeline through research, characterization, and project management.

This position is located at the Campus Eiffel-Massy in Ile de France and centers on advancing the company's Functional ingredients pipeline. The role combines technical research with project leadership to develop new methods and materials.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select raw materials, including handling quotations.
• Collaborate with Co-creation and Functional ingredients teams by providing technical support and conducting characterizations.
• Develop and implement new laboratory characterization methods.
• Identify innovative tools and techniques by attending trade shows, congresses, and reviewing literature.
• Establish and manage collaborative partnerships with external organizations.
• Design experiments, monitor results, and analyze stability data.
• Assist in the acquisition of new laboratory devices and instruments.
• Create technical documentation through reports and presentations.

Requirements

• A PhD in chemical, physico-chemical, or formulation fields with specific expertise in polymer characterization.
• At least three years of experience in cosmetic formulation.
• At least three years of experience in physicochemical characterization.
• Minimum two years of project management experience.
• Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• A strong interest in conducting lab trials and developing new methods.
• A preference for working in cross-team collaborative environments.
