Clariant seeks a Sustainability Strategy Manager to coordinate sustainability objectives across LMC departments at the Campus Eiffel-Massy location in France. The role requires strong communication skills and fluency in French and English.
Based at the Campus Eiffel-Massy in Ile de France, this position serves as a central link for implementing sustainability goals within the LMC division. The incumbent will align site-specific activities with Clariant’s broader corporate strategy while managing cross-departmental coordination and external partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Complete sustainability questionnaires for clients and address related inquiries.
- Manage the transparency initiative for the TRASCE consortium, including data entry on the transparency-one platform, internal coordination, and ensuring confidentiality protocols are met.
- Act as the primary liaison between LMC and the Clariant climate team.
- Oversee the creation of Product Carbon Footprints in collaboration with external consulting firms.
- Lead the responsible sourcing program for cosmetic ingredients by identifying supply chain risks, analyzing impacts of critical raw materials, and tracking action plans.
- Support the product development team in sourcing new materials and represent the company at industry events and associations.
- Drive the execution of sustainability strategies and objectives across various LMC departments.
- Ensure that LMC site operations align with the global Clariant sustainability strategy.
- Assess LMC products against the Clariant PVP system and Bioecomony Policy.
- Monitor key performance indicators and coordinate the preparation of consolidated Clariant reports.
- Determine product compliance for sustainability claims and attributes.
- Assist PLM and R&D teams in validating product sustainability content, icon lists, and associated tools.
- Provide support to the communication team regarding sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in the cosmetic sector, or three to five years in related fields such as sales or marketing.
- Professional proficiency in both French and English (C1 level).
Nice to have
- A university degree in cosmetics science, environmental science, or a closely related discipline.
- Specialization in marketing or sustainability, an MBA, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
