Regional Finance Controller, Europe

The company seeks a Senior Regional Finance Controller for Europe to drive financial performance, consolidate reporting, and deliver strategic analysis. The role reports to the European Cartier Head of Controlling.

This position plays a central role in supporting financial performance across European markets. The controller will consolidate reporting and forecasting processes while providing forward-looking analysis and key performance indicators. The role reports directly to the European Cartier Head of Controlling.

Responsibilities

• Review market action plans and help consolidate strategic business plans for the region.
• Monitor resource allocation to ensure alignment with the region's development strategy.
• Develop and track financial KPIs for various investment streams, including boutique projects and advertising spending, to maximize return on investment.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and support regional management in improving efficiency.
• Coordinate the regional budget process with local and Group Finance teams, as well as other regional functions.
• Consolidate regional budgets and legal entities, ensuring alignment with European strategic priorities and providing financial insights for decision-making.
• Conduct monthly follow-ups of market performance, partnering with local market controllers across Europe to understand deviations from plan and identify risks and opportunities.
• Set up collaborative corrective action plans when needed and enhance forecast reliability.
• Partner with the HQ Finance Data team to optimize and advance financial reporting capabilities, including the migration from PowerBI to Looker.

Requirements

• Master's degree in economics or engineering with 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven finance analysis expertise, ideally gained within an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IAS/IFRS).
• Ability to analyze and assess complex data, determine trends and variances, identify problems, and propose effective solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, and SAP BI reporting tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to thrive in a multinational environment.
• Fluent in English.
