Coopers Group AG seeks a mid-level Requirement Engineer for hardware and software in Rotkreuz. The role focuses on defining technical specifications for diagnostic instruments within a regulated medical device environment.
This position is responsible for structuring and defining technical requirements for diagnostic instruments. The engineer ensures that all software and hardware specifications remain compliant, traceable, and of high quality throughout the entire development lifecycle in a regulated setting.
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs and customer inputs into technical requirements for diagnostic devices, adhering to internal guidelines and risk assessments.
- Apply the EARS (Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax) method to formulate clear and consistent requirements.
- Help develop and refine requirement engineering strategies and concepts for both hardware and software across various development levels.
- Conduct reviews of requirements and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary development teams to align technical goals.
- Provide regular status updates to project or product leaders.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in requirements engineering across full product development lifecycles.
- Professional background in regulated industries, preferably within In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) or medical device sectors.
- Proven expertise in requirements engineering, including the use of ALM tools for requirement breakdown and structuring.
- Hands-on experience in requirement analysis, creating test cases, executing tests, and managing the defect lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of the V-model development process.
- Fluent proficiency in both English and German.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as CPRE/IREB, CCBA/IIBA, or INCOSE are considered advantageous.
