ITech Consult AG seeks a Mid-level Development Engineer in Rotkreuz to design and integrate near-patient IVD systems, focusing on fluid control workflows and prototype optimization.
This position sits within the R&D Near Patient Care System Development & Integration team. The primary objective is to advance ready-to-use in vitro diagnostic (IVD) systems for near-patient testing. The engineer will play a key role in designing and refining new instrument prototypes, ensuring they function effectively within clinical workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine fluid control workflows for new analyzer models.
- Diagnose technical challenges related to blood and calibration fluid management, suggesting design enhancements.
- Build data analysis tools to evaluate system performance metrics.
- Plan and execute experiments to test specific aspects of system functionality.
- Deploy and validate prototype analyzers in blood laboratory environments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanics, or Fluidics.
- Three years of industry or research experience, or demonstrated background in blood gas analyzer workflow development.
- Strong ability to understand complex system interactions.
- Proficiency in Python for programming and complex data analysis.
- Solid experience in systems engineering practices.
- Skill in producing structured documentation and detailed investigation reports.
- Determination to identify root causes of technical issues and collaborate with engineers and scientists to resolve them.
- Independence and strong networking skills to secure support for projects.
- Fluent command of English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the German language.
