PLC Developer

ITech Consult AG seeks a Mid-level PLC Developer for a pharmaceutical client in Rotkreuz. The role focuses on real-time automation, structured text programming, and electrical design integration.

This position supports a major pharmaceutical organization in Rotkreuz by creating reliable real-time automation systems. The developer works closely with hardware specialists and high-level software engineers to ensure cohesive system performance.

Responsibilities

• Create modular and structured PLC software using structured text and B&R controllers.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation for control software.
• Handle cable design, wiring schemes, PCB layout, and EMC testing.
• Assist in integration testing and troubleshoot issues within cross-functional teams.
• Connect new automation designs with existing systems.
• Help commission new instrument modules.
• Guarantee smooth interaction between software, electrical components, and mechanical parts.
• Conduct integration tests on final instruments.

Requirements

• University degree (Fachhochschule or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least three years of practical experience in PLC development.
• Minimum of three years in electrical design tasks.
• Proficiency with PLC development environments and PCB schematic tools.
• Strong background in electrical engineering, including cabinet layouts and component datasheets.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary settings.
• Fluent German and good English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Extensive background in electrical design.
• Familiarity with B&R Automation Studio, EPLAN, or Siemens Xpedition.
• Experience with motor control applications and instrument workflows.
