PLC Developer

Elan AG seeks a Mid-level PLC Developer for Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz. The role focuses on modular PLC software design, electrical integration, and interdisciplinary collaboration within an agile team.

This position supports a long-standing client, Roche Diagnostics International AG, located in Rotkreuz. The primary objective is to engineer modular and structured PLC software while guaranteeing smooth integration across software, electrical hardware, and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Developing PLC logic using structured text and B&R controllers
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Handling cable design, wiring, PCB layout, and EMC testing
• Assisting with integration testing and troubleshooting issues within cross-functional teams

Requirements

• A university degree (Fachhochschule minimum) in a relevant discipline
• At least three years of practical experience in PLC development
• Minimum of three years in electrical design
• Proficiency with PLC development environments and PCB schematic tools
• Strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary settings
• Willingness to travel to Germany for less than 10% of working time

Nice to have

• Extensive background in electrical design
• Familiarity with B&R Automation Studio, EPLAN, or Siemens Xpedition
• Prior work with motor control systems and instrument workflows
