Senior Instrument Integration Engineer (m/f/d)

The company seeks a Senior Instrument Integration Engineer for a long-term contract role in Rotkreuz. This position involves leading hardware and software integration for medical devices supplied to Roche Diagnostics.

This position serves as a primary supplier partner for Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz. The engineer will oversee the complete lifecycle of medical instruments, guiding projects from initial concept and development through validation and final market launch. The assignment is structured as a temporary contract with a strong likelihood of extension beyond one year.

Responsibilities

• Direct the integration of hardware and software elements across the full product lifecycle.
• Independently manage the planning, execution, and documentation of development tasks.
• Spearhead interdisciplinary troubleshooting efforts and conduct root cause analyses.
• Participate in defining product concepts, system requirements, and architectural designs.
• Analyze test outcomes using statistical techniques to derive insights.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for integration processes and provide guidance to team members.
• Drive innovation initiatives and contribute to intellectual property generation.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Swiss Federal Diploma, or equivalent experience in a scientific or technical discipline.
• Possess at least five years of professional experience within the medical device sector.
• Demonstrate a robust understanding of Systems Engineering principles applied to instrument development.
• Show proven ability in data analysis, evaluation, and the application of statistical methods.
• Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in the German language is considered an advantage.
