The company seeks a Development Engineer for a fixed-term role in Rotkreuz, CH, focusing on workflow development and system integration for blood gas analyzers until the end of 2027.

This temporary position, lasting until the end of 2027, belongs to the workflow development and system integration team. The engineer will help design and refine new instrument prototypes, specifically contributing to the creation of ready-to-use in vitro diagnostic systems for near-patient testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine fluid control processes for new analyzer models.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges related to blood and calibration fluid management, suggesting design enhancements.
  • Build data analysis tools to evaluate system performance.
  • Plan and execute experiments to test specific performance metrics.
  • Ensure prototype analyzers are fully operational within blood laboratories.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanics, Fluidics, etc.).
  • At least 3 years of industry or research experience, or proven background in blood gas analyzer workflow development.
  • Strong ability to understand complex system interactions.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and complex data analysis.
  • Experience in systems engineering.
  • Ability to produce structured documentation and written investigation reports.
  • Determination to identify root causes of technical issues and collaborate with engineers and scientists to resolve them.
  • Self-reliance and strong networking skills to secure support for projects.
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
