GCS Molecular Labs Senior Specialist – Hardware & Software

Roche Diagnostics GmbH seeks a Senior Specialist for Hardware & Software in Rotkreuz. This on-site role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, team leadership, and training within Global Customer Support.

The company is looking for a technical expert to join its Global Customer Support team, focusing on products currently on the market. The position requires handling complex projects that demand broad technical knowledge, leading design reviews, and guiding junior staff through advanced troubleshooting processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle advanced second-level troubleshooting for complex technical submissions.
• Mentor junior team members on troubleshooting methods and second-level inquiry resolution.
• Lead design review teams and approve changes to design content.
• Develop, update, and deliver training curricula for internal staff.
• Certify trainers and ensure training materials remain current and accurate.
• Define service requirements for new development projects.
• Maintain service manuals and ensure all published documentation is precise.
• Apply project management principles to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least four years of progressive experience, including three years in industry or diagnostics.
• Five years of relevant technical support experience in customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on experience with Linux commands and navigating log files via the command line interface.
• Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and assembly drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
• Proficiency in using test equipment such as digital multimeters and calibrated gauges.
• Experience with sequencing instruments and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies.
