aiEndoscopic AG seeks a Mid-level Software R&D Engineer in Zürich to build AI-enhanced endoscopy tools using C++, Qt, and computer vision.
This position focuses on engineering the core software infrastructure for medical, clinical, and simulation applications. The engineer will integrate artificial intelligence into endoscopic procedures to enhance healthcare safety, specifically by developing graphical user interfaces and processing visual data.
Responsibilities
- Create and sustain essential medical and simulation software, ensuring high stability and performance.
- Maintain the underlying clinical software library.
- Design and implement graphical interfaces using C++ and Qt or comparable frameworks.
- Ensure reliable operation across Linux/Ubuntu and Windows environments, handling platform-specific configurations and build processes.
- Enhance the speed and reliability of AI-driven features by optimizing GPU/NPU and video pipeline performance.
Requirements
- Proficient in C++ programming.
- Experience with cross-platform building and debugging on Linux/Ubuntu and Windows.
- Understanding of computer vision principles within medical settings.
- Strong grasp of debugging techniques, version control systems, clean code practices, and performance optimization.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Qt or general GUI development.
- Ability to use Python for automation, scripting, and tooling.
- Familiarity with GPU or video processing technologies like OpenCV, GStreamer, or CUDA.
- Background in hardware interfaces and systems-level programming.
