Production Engineer

DeepJudge seeks a Mid-level Production Engineer in Zürich to ensure system reliability, manage incidents, and build automation for its AI-driven legal platform.

This position focuses on maintaining and evolving DeepJudge’s production environment. The engineer will provide incident support, develop tooling and automation, and deepen expertise in system behavior under real-world loads to enhance reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead technical responses to production incidents, leading investigations and coordinating fixes.
• Analyze root causes of issues and implement lasting operational improvements based on findings.
• Develop internal tools, automation scripts, and workflows to boost productivity and deployment safety.
• Collaborate with product engineers to ensure new features meet reliability, scalability, and performance standards before launch.
• Contribute to defining engineering best practices for testing, observability, deployments, and production operations.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience as a Software Engineer, SRE, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role managing production systems at scale.
• Ability to remain composed during high-pressure situations and lead clear communication during incident response.
• Strong debugging skills across application code, Kubernetes, networking, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, cloud platforms, and modern observability tools.
• Proficiency in writing software using languages such as Go, Python, Rust, Java, or TypeScript.
