Software Engineer, Agentic team

Lakera.Ai, a Check Point company, seeks a Mid-level Software Engineer for its Agentic Security team in Zürich. The role involves building security for AI agents in production, enabling safe adoption of AI without slowing innovation.

The Agentic Security team develops the security layer for AI agents deployed in production environments. They identify agents across platforms and toolchains, analyze their tools, data, permissions, and exposure, and convert this into clear risk signals and protective measures. This role supports organizations in adopting AI agents safely while maintaining innovation speed. As a Software Engineer at Lakera, you’ll contribute to and lead efforts across the entire technology stack, helping ensure AI fulfills its potential for positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core product features in collaboration with the founding team.
• Develop practical solutions for complex algorithmic challenges.
• Balance scalable software design with rapid development pace, prioritizing fast delivery.
• Help deliver new features and enhancements to the company’s products.
• Extend and optimize the existing software stack and algorithms for high-demand use cases.
• Support the team in creating a stable, high-quality, and flexible engineering process.

Requirements

• Experience creating production-grade software using diverse technologies.
• Pragmatic mindset with a drive for ownership, hands-on execution, and results, while aligning with long-term goals.
• Interest in solving algorithmic problems and designing efficient software systems.
• Understanding of product and customer needs.
• Proficiency in production-level Python, C++, Golang, or other relevant programming languages.
• Active involvement in open-source projects, frequently contributing and engaging with communities.
• Ability to work independently, solve abstract problems, and deliver outcomes without constant oversight.
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-growing, early-stage company with dynamic and often undefined challenges.
• Interest in AI security.
