Research Scientist in AI

Valeo Invest AG seeks a mid-level Research Scientist in AI to advance autonomous driving perception and road safety through machine learning research and self-supervised learning techniques.

The company operates a global research center focused on AI for automotive applications, aiming to enhance road safety worldwide. This role contributes to developing technologies that will be integrated into vehicles ranging from budget models to luxury cars, ultimately impacting a significant portion of the global vehicle fleet.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine learning research specifically for autonomous driving perception systems.
• Examine sensor data from cameras and LiDARs to interpret the vehicle's environment.
• Focus on 3D perception tasks to better understand the surroundings of the vehicle.
• Create self-supervised learning methods to train neural networks without manual data annotation.
• Author and submit research papers to academic journals and conferences.
