This internship is part of the Roche Internship program in Synthetic Molecules (RiSM) and sits within the Pharmaceutical & Solid State Development department. The position supports the team by manufacturing and characterizing dispersible tablet formulations at a laboratory scale, providing hands-on experience in pharmaceutical technology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews relevant to the assigned project.
- Complete training on standard operating procedures and analytical or manufacturing equipment.
- Design and execute formulation studies to identify and refine optimal product variants.
- Evaluate formulations for manufacturability and disintegration performance.
- Regularly update supervisors on progress and define subsequent project steps.
- Prepare a comprehensive final report summarizing findings.
- Deliver a presentation addressing specific formulation questions as part of the RiSM program requirements.
Requirements
- Current university enrollment or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Background in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, or Chemistry.
- Strong interest in galenical and processing challenges.
- Ability to work reliably and accurately in a non-GMP setting.
- Collaborative mindset with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Independent work style focused on problem-solving.
- Proficiency in MS-Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
