This internship is part of the Roche Internship program in Synthetic Molecules (RiSM). It supports the Pharmaceutical & Solid State Development department and the preclinical Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control organization. The primary focus involves establishing workflows and processes for developing solubility-enhanced formulations.
Responsibilities
- Review literature relevant to the assigned project.
- Complete training on standard operating procedures and manufacturing or analytical equipment.
- Create analytical methods to characterize model compounds.
- Prepare and analyze prototype amorphous solid dispersions using various techniques.
- Regularly discuss project progress with supervisors and plan subsequent steps.
- Draft a final report summarizing the work.
- Complete the RiSM task by creating a presentation that answers formulation questions based on a provided article.
Requirements
- Must be a current university student or have graduated within 12 months before the start date.
- Preferred fields of study include Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, or Pharmacy.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in drug delivery systems.
- Show a reliable and accurate working style in a non-GMP environment.
- Be team-oriented with a decision-making mindset.
- Exhibit self-sufficient, problem-solving work habits.
- Possess good knowledge of MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Have proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
