Roche offers a 9-12 month internship in Basel within the Pharmaceutical & Solid State Development department, supporting drug delivery technology projects and thesis work.
This internship takes place inside the Pharmaceutical & Solid State Development team under Pharma Technical Development. The position focuses on advancing drug delivery technologies, with a specific emphasis on creating amorphous solid dispersions for oral administration of bRo5 molecules. It is designed to support students in completing their Master or Diploma thesis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews relevant to the assigned project.
- Complete training on standard operating procedures and analytical or manufacturing equipment.
- Produce and analyze spray-dried amorphous solid dispersions.
- Formulate and characterize solid dosage forms.
- Regularly update supervisors on progress and define subsequent project steps.
- Draft a comprehensive final report.
- Fulfill the RiSM requirement by developing a presentation that addresses formulation questions derived from a specific article.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in university or have graduated no more than 12 months before the start date.
- Study Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Show a strong interest in formulation science and manufacturing processes.
- Work reliably and accurately within a non-GMP setting.
- Collaborate effectively in a team while maintaining a decisive approach.
- Demonstrate self-sufficiency and a problem-solving mindset.
- Possess strong skills in MS-Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Communicate fluently in English.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of the German language.
