SAP MDG Techno-Functional Consultant

Fusion Consulting AG seeks a Senior SAP MDG Techno-Functional Consultant in Switzerland to lead master data solution design and implementation within a life sciences-focused team.

This position is dedicated to steering the complete lifecycle of SAP MDG projects, from initial design through configuration to final implementation. The consultant will operate within a diverse group that specializes in driving digital transformation initiatives specifically for the life sciences sector.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full scope of SAP MDG solution design, configuration, and deployment for key master data areas including Material, Customer, Vendor, and Finance.
• Collect and evaluate business needs to establish governance frameworks, data structures, and operational workflows.
• Set up MDG core components such as data models, user interfaces, BRF+ rules, validation logic, derivation routines, and replication mechanisms.
• Create and improve custom ABAP objects, including user exits, BAdIs, and other MDG-specific enhancements.
• Develop and maintain interfaces using SOA, ALE, and web services to guarantee smooth master data distribution.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data stewards, and development teams to align technical outputs with business goals.
• Support data quality efforts, migration projects, and continuous data governance activities.
• Verify that all systems adhere to regulatory standards such as GxP and other life sciences industry requirements.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in SAP MDG configuration and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including user exits and BAdIs.
• Experience with BRF+, SOA, ALE, and Web Services.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, validations, derivations, and replication processes.
• Familiarity with GxP regulations and data governance principles.
